The Global MFN Network

In order to report globally about interesting topics of the metal finishing industry, one needs to relay on a worldwide network that can provide the necessary information.

Within the metal finishing industry, MFN keeps a strong focus on peening, blasting, vibratory finishing and cleaning. The field of metal surface preparation is just so large, that a worldwide-published magazine needs to select key skill processes.

The MFN education division offers many processes regular workshops. There are courses about peening, flap peening, vibratory finishing, residual stress measurement, surface enhancement technologies, deep rolling and industrial painting. MFN can benefit from the knowledge of more than thirty trainers that have expertise in a particular field. It provides educational services in Europe, Asia and North & South-America in nine different languages. Among the trainers, several people also teach at Universities or have a Ph.D. with a scientific background.

The education division greatly contributes to the quality of the magazines of MFN. The people that teach about a particular industrial process usually have great expertise, and know how to present knowledge to third parties. Therefore, many of the trainers of MFN are also Contributing Editors. These Contributing Editors write regularly for the magazine and share a column with other authors or even have their own. MFN INTERNATIONAL has eight columns in every issue. That alone helps to keep the editorial quality of the magazine at a high level. On top of that, there are interviews, lead stories and a number of standard article contributions.

MFN has eighteen offices around the world that on one hand, serve as a local contact for our readers, and on the other hand, provide training coordination. With such a network, we want to insure that there is a local representative for whatever concerns the activities of our organisation.

Due to this global network, MFN is contacted on a weekly basis with questions from the industries. We usually transfer these questions to the particular expert that tries to help as far as possible at no cost. If the questions require extensive study or research, we transfer them to our consulting team.

The MFN organisation consists of over sixty members, and is still continuously growing.
