Introduction of Albert Schlatter

Albert Schlatter was born in 1954 in a small village near Schaffhausen, Switzerland. After school he started a 4 year apprenticeship in mechanics at Georg Fischer AG in Schaffhausen. At that time he had already gained contact to the shot-blasting and shot-peening techniques. His first job was in the R&D department for shot-blasting and shot-peening systems at Georg Fischer AG. Then Albert installed and commissioned machines for customers in a large number of different countries. After further education in mechanical engineering and economics, he was responsible for after sales service for many years. Then the company’s ownership, organization and company name in Schaffhausen changed to Georg Fischer DISA AG and finally to DISA Industrie AG. Since 1999 Albert has been working for DISA Industrie AG’s sales department for shot-blasting, shot- and stress-peening equipment; mainly in blast wheel technology. There he was responsible for sales to France, UK, Iran, Switzerland, French, Africa and Germany. Albert Schlatter has been an MFN Trainer for blasting and shot peening for many years. Furthermore, he has authored a large number of articles in MFN INTERNATIONAL. Presently he is working as a shot peening and blasting consultant for ALSICON in Switzerland.
