Founded in 1943, NACE International, The Corrosion Society, serves 30,000 members in 130 countries. Based in Houston, Texas, with offices in the U.S., China, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, the organization reaches all industries impacted by corrosion and offers the most specified technical training and certification programs, conferences, industry standards, reports, publications, and software to prevent and mitigate corrosion. NACE International provides members with career and business building resources, government relations and public awareness support, and research and education to support the pursuit of global corrosion control solutions.

Houston, Texas – NACE International, The Corrosion Society, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew M. Miller as Director of Education.

Mr. Miller joins NACE International after 12 years with SAE International,  where he served as Director of the SAE Foundation and Pre-Professional Programs. Mr. Miller was responsible for setting strategic direction and overseeing operations and fundraising activities of the SAE Foundation and its related entities, including the award winning A World In Motion (AWIM) and Collegiate Design Series programs. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, development, and administration of education programs, program management, improving operational efficiencies, and working with volunteer leaders and members.

"His wealth of knowledge and experience could not be a better fit for our organization as we strive to meet the growing education needs of corrosion professionals worldwide."

Miller holds a Master of Science degree in Nonprofit Management from Robert Morris University and in Instructional Technology from Duquesne University. He will be working from the NACE International Headquarters office in Houston, Texas.
