Training has always been one of the key activities of MFN. The organisation has education programs for Shot Peening, Flap Peening, Industrial Painting, Mass Finishing, and just recently, also for International Business. Depending on the topic the training is available in up to 8 languages. With its team of 34 trainers from 20 countries, it has built a unique platform to offer a truly international training logistic, which serves over 1000 people a year. It is supported by 15 offices worldwide and 3 training centres.

Completely Revised Shot Peening Training: For many years, MFN has taught FAA recognized shot peening. The courses are divided into 3 education levels. In a joint effort that took almost a year, exciting presentations were revised, new topics such as Photo Optical Particle Analysis, Cavitation Peening or alternatives such as Deep Rolling were added. In addition, one of the guide lines was to integrate a good mix of peening know-how from the aviation and the automotive industry. New videos were made and all presentations received an extensive visual "touch up". In this process dozens of graphs and illustrations had to be completely redrawn either by computer or sometimes even manually. The final result sets new standards in the field of shot peening training.

New Training in International Business: It consists of the main topics "International Sales Development" and "Cross-Cultural Management". The two courses can be taken separately and last one day per course. It is an Executive MBA Level Training lectured by Erwan Henry, who gives such International Business classes in several executive MBA programs in Universities in France, Russia, Brazil and Indonesia. Erwan, who has his own column at MFN, is a Global Executive, with world-wide operations experience. Since any global business can benefit from such training and since MFN is an organization with world-wide activities, it makes sense to integrate these topics into our program.

Industrial Painting Workshops: After the first workshop last April with around 20 participants was a great success, such workshops will now take place regularly twice a year. These events are organized in cooperation with JOT and sponsored by PaintExpo.

1st Mass Finishing Workshop in England: For several years MFN has hosted mass finishing workshops in Singapore. MFN now has the means to offer the same course in England this November.

These are all very positive and motivating developments within MFN's global training organization. More information about the education program can be found at www.mfn.li/training.
