Metal + Metallurgy China 2017 Grandly Opens in Shanghai
As Asia’s largest and the world’s second largest exhibition in the metal and metallurgical industries, Metal + Metallurgy China 2017 (a collective name for the 15th China International Foundry Expo, the 17th China International Metallurgical Industry Expo and the 15th China International Industrial Furnaces Exhibition) will be staged at Shanghai New International Expo Center on June 13-16, 2017. Compared with the last edition held in Shanghai, Metal + Metallurgy China 2017 will provide a perfect display and trade platform for global exhibitors and buyers with stronger exhibitor lineup, more cutting-edge technical innovation, more convenient hall facilities and better professional services. The exhibition scale is estimated at 110,000 square metres.
With the issue of the 13th Five-Year Plan, China’s steel industry has ushered in brand-new development opportunities as a key field. Made in China 2025 Plan has listed ten key development fields, which are all closely related to the steel industry. A series of the state’s key strategic policies including the Belt and Road Initiative, the Outline of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Development and the Development Planning Outline of Yangtze River Economic Zone has also stimulated the demand for steel. Under this background, Metal + Metallurgy China 2017 will promote the sales market of foundry and steel industries and improve the contradictory resolution of steel overcapacity.
During next year’s show, the organizers will set a new layout for Metal + Metallurgy China 2017. Hall W1-W5 is for foundry exhibition, Hall N1-N2 is for international exhibitors, Hall N3 is for metallurgy exhibition and Hall N4 is for industrial furnaces exhibition. In order to display a complete industrial chain and achieve the integration of upstream and downstream in metallurgical and foundry industries, Metal + Metallurgy China 2017 will set new display sectors such as die-casting, Industrial Automation, forging and aluminum industries and add more international elements with the global network of Hannover Milano Fairs, aiming at doubling the international exhibitor and buyer numbers. Meanwhile, leading industrial enterprises including ABB, Inductotherm Group, Fuji Electric, FANUC, EBNER, EIRICH, ASK, WM TECHNOLOGIES, INSERTEC, Nederman, ABP, Gibsou, Elkem, Mingzhi Technology, FLOW-3D, MAGMA, XINYAN INDUSTRY, Calderys, Pyrotek, Allied Mineral, FMS, KOYO, Kurtz and Nabertherm have actively registered for show participation.
More than twenty years of history has witnessed the resplendence in this industry and Metal + Metallurgy China has built its golden brand with powerful strength. The show is jointly organized by the China Iron and Steel Association, China Foundry Association, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES), the Metallurgical Council of CCPIT, the Industrial Furnace Institution of CMES and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd.
