Amagrit
Amagrit is an angular stainless steel grit engineered for more aggressive surface treatment. Its sharp edges enable efficient removal of scale, coatings, and contaminants while also creating a defined surface profile roughness for improved coating adhesion.

Challenge:
An automotive component manufacturer had invested in a hanger-type shot blast machine and required a stainless steel shot that would help reduce costs and improve the quality of blasted workpieces.

Amacast stainless steel shot was tested at Ervin’s Sprockhövel plant. The test demonstrated improved cleaning performance, shorter cycle times, and reduced consumption.
Result:
The test results were confirmed in a controlled trial under normal production conditions. The service life of the Amacast shot was more than 20% higher than that of the previous abrasive, and the quality of the blasted surfaces was significantly better.
